The business case

What an engagement involves, how the return reaches a team and an organization, and what a sponsor gets in the way of structure and visibility. Written to be forwarded rather than explained.

Send it to whoever would approve the investment, alongside your own request.

The request template

Three versions of the same request, written for the three people who might approve it: your manager, HR, and a budget holder. Everything specific is left for you to fill in.

Use it when you know what needs to change and want help making the case for it.
